Servilles loves: Neeve Woodward

In a new winter series called ‘Servilles Loves,’ we are profiling some of New Zealand’s most influential creatives that work both in front and behind the scenes. We will interview them on their favourite products that keep them looking top-notch and get some insight into what keeps them inspired during the colder season.

First up we have photographer and all around multi-talented Neeve Woodward who has worked on projects for some of the countries top beauty and fashion brands as well as Interview Magazine in New York and Vogue Australia.

NAME: Neeve Woodward

AGE: 28

OCCUPATION: Freelancer/photographer/handy man/retail girl

PRODUCT OF THE MOMENT: Spring Collective Bio-Nutrient Face Oil for skin and O&M Seven Day Miracle Masque for hair. Nars Contour Blush.

BEST BEAUTY ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED: When I was first introduced to the eyebrow tint! Also, to eat more plants.

WHAT IS KEEPING YOU INSPIRED THIS WINTER: Projects with friends, following prolific photographers on Instagram and Tumblr, keeping a photographic journal and shooting on film again. Coming across interesting finds like second hand picture books or weird vegetables to photograph. Cosy nights at home!

YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN AUCKLAND: Freemans Bay – it has such a European vibe. I love walking around the neighbourhood; being nosy about other people’s gardens and watching the light and the trees change with the seasons.

YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE AND WHY: “She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.” From ‘A Girl I Knew’ by my all time favourite storyteller, J.D. Salinger. Salinger so perfectly describes beauty and longing and the inevitable problems of loving someone else.
